about

This is the first part of faira's threeparted debut-album "Φ".

Φ is a three-parted assemblage of songs from the last 8 years of my music-making. It reflects all the chance encounters, moments and experiences that formed me during this period of time. To me these songs are mementos from different stages of my life.
Mostly chronologically each one of the three parts includes six records that come from particular period dates. I don't claim perfection by this release-project. Much more it's the imperfection of early records and the conclusions I drew for later ones, that form the framework of this trilogy.

The first part "P" consists of early records that were made between 2005 and 2008. The songs on "H" were written in the same period but were recorded 2008/2009. The third part "I" shows my latest work that was written and recorded between 2011 and 2013.

Faira’s music is a balancing act between impelled somberness and careful glee. ... more
